Slots
Slots, from one cent a spin
More than 400 slot machines fill the floor at Casino Nanaimo. They take multi-denomination bets, meaning one machine accepts several bet sizes, so a spin can cost as little as one cent.
The doors open at 10 a.m. and close at 1 a.m. from Sunday to Thursday, with a 2 a.m. close on Friday and Saturday; no separate slot hours are posted. Holiday hours are not published, so call 250-753-3033 before heading out.
Live tables
Dealer-run tables
At a live table, a real dealer runs the game for the players seated around it. Casino Nanaimo has four of them: Ultimate Texas Hold'em, RUYI Baccarat, Free Bet Blackjack and Kings Bounty Blackjack. Ultimate Texas Hold'em pits you against the dealer's hand rather than against the other players at the table.
Hours depend on the day. Monday to Thursday, the live tables run from 4 p.m. to midnight. On Friday and Saturday they open at 11 a.m. and close at 2 a.m., while Sunday runs from 11 a.m. to midnight. Arrive early on a Monday to Thursday afternoon and the live tables will not have opened yet.
Electronic
Electronic tables in the Action Arena
An electronic table seats each player at a personal terminal, a screen where bets are placed. The Action Arena holds the electronic tables at Casino Nanaimo: $1 Roulette, $2 Blackjack and $5 Baccarat. It opens at noon every day.
No closing time is posted for the Arena, so ask at Guest Services or call 250-753-3033 if you plan a late visit. BCLC's game list for the casino also includes Fusion Virtual Multigame and Fusion Blackjack on electronic tables.
Not here
What you will not find
Some familiar games are simply not offered here. Neither Casino Nanaimo's own game list nor BCLC's includes craps, keno, a sportsbook or a bingo hall. No live roulette wheel with a dealer is listed either. Roulette at this casino means $1 Roulette, played on the electronic tables in the Action Arena. If a game you know from elsewhere is missing from this page, the casino can confirm at 250-753-3033.
